Iguana Cage

There are several things to consider before taking the plunge to becoming a reptile owner. One of the most important factors is whether or not you have enough time to adequately care for your pet. If time is limited, look for a reptile and iguana cage that is easy to maintain. Certain species require an exorbitant amount of time. Some reptiles are so sensitive to a change in temperature you have to monitor their iguana cage constantly.

5 Things to Consider Before Purchasing your Iguana Cage

1.       Work Schedule. If you work 60 plus hours a week, you will have little time to clean your iguana enclosures or iguana cage. In fact, you may never find time to actually set up your iguana enclosures!

2.       Social schedule. Are you constantly out with friends and throwing parties? This requires a lot of time. In addition, if you’re house is always full of people, consider whether you have space for an iguana cage or iguana enclosure. Keep in mind that most reptiles prefer a semi-quiet and stable home. If people are constantly buzzing around their iguana cages, they may become intimidated.

3.       Family life. How busy are you taking care of your kids and chauffeuring them to ball practice or other events? Between working and taking care of your family, your iguana cages may be put on the back burner. This can be harmful to your pet. If you forget to clean the iguana cages or feed your reptile, the consequences may be grim.

4.       School obligations. If you are taking college courses or continuing education classes, this will require a lot of time and energy. Carefully evaluate your schedule. Ask yourself if you have time to sanitize your iguana cage or iguana cages at least weekly. In addition, you will need to feed your pet and change his water.

5.       Volunteer work. We all love to help others in our community. But it can be demanding and time-consuming. If you are loaded with obligations, do some careful thinking before running out to purchase an iguana cage or iguana enclosure.
