Cat Fence
So you’re ready to purchase your first pet cat. You’ve thoroughly thought through the decision and are confident that you are committed to the health, happiness and longevity of your feline companion. Additionally, you are willing to invest whatever money needed to provide your cat with a cat cage, a safe cat fence and other cat furniture. In fact, you want to do everything in your power to make your cat’s life, one of peaceful bliss.
But now there are a few other decisions that need to be made before you find a sweet little feline to play on that cat furniture or roam the perimeters of your cat fencing. Here are some additional questions to consider:
Should you get a kitten or an adult cat? Kittens are so cute they are almost irresistible. You can’t help but love them to pieces. However, there are some down sides. Kittens tend to be much more energetic than adult cats. Their claws are extremely sharp, which can cause tremendous damage to your furniture or leg. They are also more delicate and can be easily injured by rough handling. A kitten is more likely to find a way to escape through your cat fence or cat fencing. So he will need to be under constant supervision when let out in the yard. If you want your kitten to spend time outdoors, your best bet is to invest in a large outdoor cat cage, which will keep your pet safe and secure.
Some people think kittens are easier to train than adult cats. But the opposite is true. Kittens are so busy clawing their cat furniture, running around the house and checking out the boundaries on your cat fencing, they simply don’t have time to learn. An adult cat is a good option if you just want to “settle in” with your new cat and enjoy a calm companion. Once your adult cat gets use to his surroundings, he will be more likely to accept the boundaries set by your cat fence or cat fencing. He will enjoy soaking up the sun in your window, quietly lying on the bed next to you, or peacefully sleeping on his cat furniture. If that’s the type of feline you are dreaming of—an adult cat is what you need.
Setting Up Your Cat Fence
One question every pet owner faces is whether their cat should be an indoor or outdoor cat. There are pros and cons to each option. But if possible, it is always a good idea to make sure your pet is given fresh air and exercise. Not only will this keep him healthy, but it will also make him feel happier about his life. This is where a good cat fence comes in. Cat fencing is a great way to protect your pet while he explores the outdoors. You can set reasonable boundaries, which will prevent your pet from straying too far or upsetting the neighbor’s roses. Cat fences also are great for keeping predators out. Large dogs or wild animals that could harm your pet will be kept at bay through the use of a cat fence or cat fencing.
